diminishing harmonies
Labyrinthine fields of ribbons,
delicately interlocking beneath the mauve curtain,
gathering moments like sapphires across decades
—a fool’s diadem.
Surfaces sung into existence,
a language of resonance filling all things.
Reverberations of innocence,
tender feet in tiny rivlets,
when diamonds did fall from the heavens.
What radiance burns the stars behind an amethyst veil,
or lights the sky on fire and clothes it in amber fog,
transposing the morning into notes of infinity’s song?
Molecular prose writes the universe upon our forms.
Wisdom, in her majesty, is courted in the earth’s repentant psalm.
What sublime suffering!
Etches in mist,
encapsulating chaos.
Time holds miseries.
Derelict,
in this frugal penitence,
idle.
The hand now folds,
indiscreet.
The cherished marrow cries over bent bodies,
ceding to tomorrow.
